Brewery opened in 1837 and was acquired by Henry Wadworth in 1875. Still run as a traditional brewery, it is one of the few in the country to employ a cooper. It also owns the Red Shoot brewpub. The former Mayhem brewplant is used as a test plant here, and beers apear from time to time from this plant under the name Pint Size Brewery.
